Kolethra is the central water source for the Konistres area and one of the largest in Evia. It is a recreational area with flowing green waters, small tables, and benches, all under the thick shade of plane trees.
From surveys conducted by divers, it has been discovered that the length of the source is 1480 meters, making it the longest siphon in Greece.

If you follow the beautiful path next to the river, you will reach the old village watermill, where heavy winter clothes were traditionally washed under the swirling and forceful water pressure.
During the summer months, I would not recommend visiting as the river has little to no water, and mosquitoes can be quite bothersome.
