HIKING IN THAPSA
VIA THE OLD ROAD
Distance: 12.8km (6.4 km to go and another 6.4 km to return)
Type of trail: Out-and-back
Difficulty level: Difficult
Hiking time: 4-5 hours
Elevation gain: 568m
The old road to Thapsa is for those who want to see this earthly paradise but do not have a 4×4 or a boat. It is also suitable for those who want to challenge themselves a bit before enjoying the crystal-clear waters.
The only downside is that on the way back, there is only an uphill climb… a lot of uphill. But the swim you will have enjoyed, the tan you will have acquired, and the view throughout the hike will make you forget about this minor detail.
